Welcome! A message from Principal Crane
Phoenix Academy Principal Regenia Crane

Can you believe we are back and we are back with even more courage, perseverance, and resilience to make the 2020-21 school year a great one.  In spite of our challenges with COVID 19, The Phoenix Academy is committed to serving our students with excellence whether it is face to face or virtually.  On Wednesday, August 12th we will start our journey together.  Students had the choice to attend in-person or virtually, however, all MISD students will start together remotely.  You should receive a welcome e-mail from your teachers that will provide you with instructions on logging in for the first day.
Our teachers have worked hard to ensure that curriculum instruction being delivered whether it is in person or virtually is TEKS aligned, rigorous and engaging. MISD high school students will have the opportunity to receive a Chromebook.  We have scheduled our campus device pick-up for August 10 & 11, 8 am to 12 noon. Simply drive around the back of our building and we will be there to serve you with excellence.
Please be assured that when we return for in-person learning on September 9th, we have prepared our campus to reflect a safe and clean environment as we will follow all district COVID guidelines.  Students will be required to wear a mask while they are in the building.  Although we have a machine to purchase water, students can bring their own personal water bottle.  Teachers have carefully arranged their rooms to reflect social distancing and hand sanitizer will be readily available.  Our custodians will work hard to keep our campus clean and sanitized throughout the day.
As the transformational leader of The Phoenix Academy, I am committed to providing my students and staff with an educational experience that demonstrates excellence in serving, safety and security and a positive environment.  I invite our parents to partner with us on this journey of preparing our students to graduate and become a productive citizen.
