First Step Program

First Step is the name given to the at-risk counseling program in the Mansfield Independent School District. The First Step program provides Student Support Counselors who work under the direction of the Director of Guidance & Counseling.

Student support counselors are credentialed professionals who provide short-term therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention for students in need. These counselors are housed at different locations with the intent to provide services throughout the district, primarily in K-12 campuses.

InspireED

A local, non-profit organization that inspire students to achieve a higher education by promoting a college-going culture through educational outreach activities, services, and community partnerships. College mentors assigned to our campus will assist students in researching their career and colleges that meet their needs. They will also assist in completing the FAFSA and setting up a college board account to ensure they are prepared to enter a college/career institution. Students will also receive help in applying for various scholarships.
